Privacy Policy
Effective date: 20 July 2026 · Version 1.0
Alt Consulting (“Alt”, “we”, “us”) operates the website alt.consulting. This policy explains, plainly, what personal data we collect on this site, why, where it lives, and the rights you hold over it. (Alt is in the process of incorporation as a private limited company; the registered name and CIN will appear here upon incorporation.) It is published under Rule 4 of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and is prepared with regard to the notice principles of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. What we collect
We collect personal data at exactly one place on this site — the Book a Demo form — and only what you type into it:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your mobile number
- Your company name
- Your message
Alongside the form, our hosting infrastructure may record standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested), and Google reCAPTCHA processes interaction signals (section 4). We run no analytics trackers, no advertising cookies, and no marketing pixels on this site.
2. Why we collect it
We use the form data for exactly three purposes:
- To respond to your demo request and communicate with you about Alt’s services.
- To prevent abuse — we count submissions per email address (maximum three per calendar day, Indian Standard Time) to keep automated spam out.
- Security — reCAPTCHA helps us distinguish humans from bots.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with anyone for marketing. We will not add you to any mailing list without asking you separately. We may, however, disclose personal data where required by law, legal process, or a government agency lawfully empowered to obtain it.
3. Consent and how to withdraw it
By submitting the form you consent to the processing described here. You may withdraw that consent at any time by writing to info@alt.consulting — we will then delete your enquiry data (section 6) unless we are in an active commercial discussion you choose to continue.
4. Third parties we rely on
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — our infrastructure. Your form submission is stored in AWS’s Mumbai (ap-south-1) region, in India, and our notification emails are sent through AWS Simple Email Service.
- Google Workspace — a copy of your enquiry is delivered by email to our monitored mailbox (info@alt.consulting), which is hosted on Google Workspace and may be stored by Google outside India.
- Google reCAPTCHA v3 — protects the form from bots. reCAPTCHA sets Google cookies and sends interaction signals (including your IP address) to Google, which may process them outside India. Its use is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
These are the only third parties handling this website’s data. We will update this policy promptly when that changes.
5. Where your data lives and how it is protected
Form submissions are stored in a private AWS database in Mumbai, India, encrypted in transit (HTTPS end-to-end) and at rest using AWS-managed encryption, with access limited to authorised Alt personnel. The website itself is static — it holds no database of its own.
6. How long we keep it
We delete demo-form enquiry records — including the anti-abuse submission counters — no later than 24 months after our last exchange with you. Our form-processing service keeps operational logs (errors and delivery status — not the content of your enquiry). If we enter a commercial engagement, your data moves under that engagement’s contract and data-processing terms.
7. Your rights
You may, at any time, write to info@alt.consulting to:
- Access — ask what personal data of yours we hold;
- Correct — have inaccurate data fixed;
- Erase — have your data deleted (subject to any legal retention duties);
- Withdraw consent — stop further processing;
- Raise a grievance — see section 8.
We will acknowledge within a reasonable time, and will resolve grievances within one month of receipt.
8. Grievance Officer
Designated under Rule 5(9) of the SPDI Rules 2011:
Grievance Officer: Harsh Pandey, Founder Email: info@alt.consulting (Postal address will be published upon incorporation of the company.)
If you remain unsatisfied once the grievance provisions of the DPDP Act 2023 are in force, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India after exhausting this channel.
9. Children
This website and our services are directed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We will post any change here with a new version number and effective date. Material changes affecting data already collected will be notified to the email address you gave us.
